"Air Albania" in partnership with Turkish airlines started it’s activity in Passanger Transport and Cargo with an official ceremony , hold in Tirana’s Airport.

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama during inaguration said:
"Air Albania" it is a strategic and long term institution with indisputable guarante of global actor Turkish airlines. Rama also said that : It is indisputable that without the initiative, support and generosity of Turkish president mr. Recep Taip Erdoğan – we couldn’t do this.

Turkish ambassador in Tirana said:
“The idea about This Project came from our President Erdoğan and Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, two visionary leaders with great ideas”.

In the ceremnony from Turkish Airlines , Mithat Görkem Aksoy spoke and said:
“Albania is very important for Turkey , and the onliest thing I can say about Air Albania is – This is only the begining. We will have bigger investments in Albania.”

The question is : How did this Project start?
The idea about This Project started with the insist of albanian bussinessmens from Albanian Diaspora in Turkey. One albanian bussienesman insisted for many times to represent this idea to turkish president mr Recep Taip Erdogan. When mr. Erdogan heard about this Project he said :
"This strategic Project is very important for our albanian brothers and sisters. Definitely we will support it economically and emotionally."
After this Erdogan immedietely gave instructions about this Project and Turkish Airlines in this field.

Albanian bussinesmen represented this to albanian prime minister Edi Rama and this Project was accepted from him too, and so they started to work aboıt this national Project. Albania had albanian airlines before , private and government ones but both government Albanian airlines in 2011 and the private one Belle Air in 2013 failed so for almost six years Albania doesn’t have it’s own airline.

"Air Albania" which will operate about passenger transport and Cargo was founded as a mutual company.
Turkish Airlines owns 49% of the stock, 41% of stock are owned by MDN Investment (created just 15 days ago) and 10% are own from Alb Control- Air Navşgation services of Albania. As partners Turkish airlines will support Air Albania in logistic and and managment too.

"Air Albania" started its flights with two Airbus-A319 dey lease- rented . the first flight was from Tirane to Istanbul. Until december 2018 Air Albania will fly to destinations like: Prishtine. Skopje, Zagreb , Podgorice and will continue to europe important points.

AND IT IS WELL KNOWN THAT IN APRIL 2019
“AIR ALBANIA” WILL START THE FLIGHTS TIRANA- IZMIR-TIRANE ( the second destination in Turkey)

"Air Albania" and Turkish airlines has a big importance for Albanian Diaspora in Turkey too. Now Albanian eagle will fly next to the turkish moon and star. Albanian Diaspora of Turkey are very thankful and they want to Thank the ones who made possible this Project; Recep Taip Erdoğan, Turkish Airlines, Edi Rama and albanian bussiensmen.

Also we would like to mention that we as Albanian Diaspora in Turkey we contribute a lot in economic and socil development for our country, and we are trying to stress the importance of Albania in western balkan. Albanians in Turkey will continue to play important roles about these points and we are proud about this.

There are also critics about inaguration and people who share funny statuses on social media and they mention a lot thing like : ‘why there is nothing written in albanian’ but they don’t forget that the planes are from Turkish airlines - the global leader so the jokes are just a way to make fun.
