CHAMERIA DON’T FORGET! ALBANIANS OF IZMIR COMMEMORATE 76TH ANNIVERSARY OF CHAMERIA’S GENOCIDE.
ALBANIANS IN TURKEY HAVE LEFT A BLACK CROWN IN FRONT OF GREEK CONSULATE IN KORDON OF IZMIR, TURKEY . 04/07/2020
Today we came together to remind and to punish the genocide from Greece to Albanian people on 27 of June 1944. We were supposed to have this activity on 27th of June but because of the pandemic situation we postponed it to today.

Dear participants;
We are originally Albanian, but citizens and civilians of Turkish Republic, living and working in different places of Turkey. We are Albanian from Albania, Shkodra, Kosovo, Chameria, Iannina, Presheva, Plava and Guci, Ilyria, from Monastery but deported and displaced from our ethnic place.
We play an important part in this country and we are loyal citizens of Turkey, who embraced us in difficult days.
We are supreme members and noble citizens toward Turkish nation, so together we defeated Greek chauvinist forces In the war for Independence of Turkey. Also we are the ones who got martyred in canakale and in Caucasian front.
we take strength from our common history, values and people who lived and left a great mark in this country. Such people as ; Hodja Hasan Tahsin, Sami Frasheri, Mehmet Akif Ersoy, Qazim-s of Eagles and silent heroes of Independence war of Turkey. From now on we will bring up the daily actuality and much more.
So for all albanian that were defeated, for them who were betrayed and murdered till today - we will keep a proud and peaceful attitude so we will ask for our rights in the world’s arena.
From now on we as Albanian of Turkey wil be more conscious an will focus more in our history and culture .
Of course from now on we will remind Chameria more and more because there exists a “Cham Community” really big here , so we will bring it up in the actual agenda more often. We will ask the rights of our citizens and their children who are subjected to Cham Genocide. We will work more and will bring up in the worldly agenda the Cham genocide from Greece.
In June 1944 greek chauvinist massacred more than 3000 Cham Albanians from age 2 to 80 years old. We will show to the world this; we the descendants of Cham Albanians- whose our grand grandfathers were defeated and massacred just because they were Muslim Albanians. The agenda of “Cham Genocide” will be more active with scientific studies and academics in the field of international rights.
We call albanian from the Aegean pearl, from İzmir:
Albanian of Chameri should take their rights. So we call the arberesh of Italy and the arvanite of Greece to come and help Albanians of Turkey in this subject.
Please support our peaceful projects so we will have our right. All Albanians who live in Turkey near Cham Albanians and Turkish people they support us.
From now on we albanians of Turkey will bring up “Cham Genocide “ every year and will turn it into a memorial tradition and will put it like an unsolved case in the worldly agenda.
Also our purpose is to ask for those Albanians who were subjected from Greece in 1944, and for those who could run away alive - Righteousness for their own things and free movement into their place.
Genocide is a crime against humanity and it’s punishment shouldn’t have any barrier.
For this reason for 76 years by ignoring and forgetting this problem we decided to bring it up today and never stop talking about it until we take our rights. This is the reason of this black crown in front of Greek consultancy in izmir.
We grief for Albanian that lost their lives during this genocide. We hope we will have more cases like this and we will raise our voices.
